~*Celebrating Adoption*~

When I first saw the Celebrating Adoption logo I immediately knew it was something I wanted to become involved with. I had no idea exactly what type of organization it was before visiting the website, but I knew if it meant licking stamps for them, I'd volunteer. Thankfully, it's a wonderful organization of photographers dedicated to promoting and celebrating adoption.

This organization is near and dear to my heart for many reasons. My husband was adopted at the age of 12. My sister "C" and family are currently waiting to adopt. I've cared for adopted and fostered children in our church nursery. The stories behind each adoption are unique...the love and dedication from these families as they add a new member to their family are the same.
God is good.

Our gift to adoptive families is a complimentary portrait session and a set of 4x6 prints. Because the adjustment period is different with each family, sessions can be scheduled anytime during the first year after adoption. More information will be added to the website soon. Sessions are limited, so please plan in advance!

Happy Easter

We spent Saturday at my sister's house for Easter so I had the chance to do a mini session with my oldest niece Miss "R"....and of course the family dog. I did a quick session with my other two neices, but Miss "S" was sneaky and tucked her gum between her teeth. How did I miss that?! And well Miss "L" was making me laugh to much to take her picture. Not to worry, because I plan on taking their pictures for many years to come!

how I wish sometimes Miao's tail was this little!

Pup-arazzi

Rain = clean the house. More rain = cabin fever. What this means for the dog (Gracie's off the hook with a cold)? The sound of me slithering across the floor on my belly trying to capture a few pictures with what little light was coming in the windows!!! It was a win win. I got some pictures, he got some treats. Life is good.

Chris Knight in Concert!

Last night we went with some friends to see Chris Knight play at the Thunderbird Cafe in Lawrenceville, PA. What an awesome night! Vic and I are HUGE fans of Chris and it’s just beyond words what it’s like to stand in front of him and sing along with his songs. We’ve seen him a few times now and hope he continues to comes back to Pittsburgh. If he’s in your area…GO check him out!!

I am SO totally in love with all these pictures! It was hard to pic my favorites. It’s so different from what I normally shoot…I love the colors, grain, and moodiness. David was rockin my camera last night too….girly strap and all…sorry man! We all had some good laughs over that one. David took a short video clip of the concert on his I-phone and put it up on You-Tube. Vic and I have a good head-bop going on!

Ahhh... Fresh Air !

After being sick all weekend it was so nice to open the windows today and let some fresh air in. I took the dog out for some excerise in the backyard. I forgot how muddy it gets back there when things melt. I tried to get a good picture of the mud caked on his belly and legs, but with boy dogs it's just hard to get a good shot, if ya know what I mean.
