I just wanted to share these two recent photos of Gracie. Sometimes my favorite pictures are the ones where they're not looking at you, not smiling, but rather just enjoying life and exploring all there is to explore. Lifestyle Photography at its finest. I found a nice comfy patch of grass to sit on with my camera and just watched her move all around me in the yard.

Question #49
According to the Art Institute of Vancouver's Right Brain vs. Left Brain Creativity Test found here...I'm 55% left brained and 45% right brained. This is too funny...Question #51 asks if I've ever thought about being a lab scientist, lawyer, mathematician, or librarian. I answered RARELY...but check this out....according the test results I would be good in the following professions: lab scientist, banker, judge, lawyer, mathematician, librarian, or a skating judge. Hmmm. I think not. Trust me!! I could just see my first day at each of these jobs....
What made me giggle was Q#49: I create and keep to do lists...I answered OFTEN. I keep my ongoing list on my favorite Ikea item bought to date. I think a To Do list can say a lot about a person. Mine means I have a birthday coming up and need to renew my license, I lost my keys, we need a grill cover so we can move it back on the deck, Casting Crowns is coming to SHBC :), the dog smells like dog, the laundry room needs some tlc, and what list wouldn't be complete without bills to pay. Oh, and I'm going to subsribe to Rachael Ray's magazine :)

Have a great day!

Senior Session - PTHS
What a beautiful night we finally had in the 'Burgh' last night....and what a fabulous senior session Miss R and I had! We visited a few locations, used the gusts of wind to our advantage and entertained some passer-bys who questioned what we were doing :). This was part 1 of 2 sessions. The next session will be more edgy down on the strip district, I can't wait!! And Miss R will *fingers crossed* have no braces....whoo hoo!!

Open Mic Night
Last night we went to FarmHouse Coffee for open mic night. If you haven't been, you must go check it out! They have the best treats, coffee, and atmosphere to relax and enjoy it all.
So here's how the night started: I order my favorite Raspberry Truffle Latte and sit down at a table with friends to enjoy the live music. I'm comfortable. I've got family, friends, music, camera in hand...what could be better?? How about a latte in your lap?? Seriously folks, drink them, don't bathe in them!
These guys last night rocked! We'll call them "S" and "J". I love the emotion they have while playing. Musicians are just fun in general to photograph. Hope to see you guys again...

Vic sang "Crooked Road" by Chris Knight. Awesome cut.

~*Celebrating Adoption*~
When I first saw the Celebrating Adoption logo I immediately knew it was something I wanted to become involved with. I had no idea exactly what type of organization it was before visiting the website, but I knew if it meant licking stamps for them, I'd volunteer. Thankfully, it's a wonderful organization of photographers dedicated to promoting and celebrating adoption.
This organization is near and dear to my heart for many reasons. My husband was adopted at the age of 12. My sister "C" and family are currently waiting to adopt. I've cared for adopted and fostered children in our church nursery. The stories behind each adoption are unique...the love and dedication from these families as they add a new member to their family are the same.
God is good.
Our gift to adoptive families is a complimentary portrait session and a set of 4x6 prints. Because the adjustment period is different with each family, sessions can be scheduled anytime during the first year after adoption. More information will be added to the website soon. Sessions are limited, so please plan in advance!
