Crumpler Bags

I upgraded to the 7 million dollar home! If you're a photographer and your not familiar with Crumpler Bags, go check them out (They have bags for laptops too). You might remember my 5 million dollar home from an earlier post which was great until I moved more stuff in.

Crumpler quality rocks. Everything is top notch: zippers, stitching, padding, extra storage, and need I say looks. What I love most about this bag is I can carry it across my shoulders...which is a MUST for me.

I almost went with a Shootsac, but decided that would make a good present! (hint hint, honey)

I chose black this time so it blends with my outfit on wedding days. more exciting news on that later :)

I love the small pocket in the front for putting all my personal goods

a look on the inside. It holds a ton of gear.

Wanting More: Charlie Walker

I've been wanting to blog about Charlie for months now. Procastination? Not really. Lack of words to adequately tell the story? Yes. I'll do my best:

Charlie is my cousin and growing up was my best friend. I'm so thankful for my mom who carried around the trusty polaroid capturing our days together that are now perserved in a scrapbook. My mom would make us a "tent" from a cardtable and blanket complete with an endless supply of cheese crackers. I can still hear our voices as we shouted out in laughter "cheesy please-y!" The evenings were spent a little something like this:

Now that he's ready to kill me for putting that on my blog...something a little more current:

Charlie is an uber talented musician who played 247 gigs in 2007! I know one day I'll be able to hear him on the radio but for now I'm just trying to get him to Pittsburgh. Visit his myspace page and listen to "Jim in a Bottle" and "Wanting More." Loudly. And then again, but this time move a little! lol. I'm still waiting for Charlie to release my favorite song that he so graciously played for me in my mom's basement....brilliantly written....now it's just waiting to be heard by all....ohhhhh Chaw-lieeeee?!?!

It's awesome to see where we both are today in our careers, faith, and just life in general. My family rocks. Thanks for letting me share a little slice of it with you.

While you're over at myspace be sure and check out Tim Kilroy who designed the poster above and Jake Roth Photography who does the majority (if not all) Charlie's pictures. I would love to be in front of Jake's camera someday...probably a little more modestly...

*note* I'm not a myspacer; rather a facebooker.

Life is good

Gracie loves to play with the hose. Miao loves to play in the water. I love photographing their time together. We all win.

This is how it starts:

Then comes the first attack:

Then the FULL attack

finished with a hug to say "I love you buddy."

Signed - Sealed - Delivered

As the UPS truck made his way up our driveway, there I stood patiently in the garage decked out a pair of unmatching jammies and barefeet. Stylish. If I wasn't so excited to run upstairs and rip open my package I probably would have caught the nice gentleman giving me one of those up and down looks.

If you haven't read my other posts this is the book I put together to display at the Animal Rescue League's gala this Friday night. I designed all the pages and kept it very simple and clean. The quality is outstanding! Product pictures on the otherhand... not my thing!!
